It all begins with a conversation. We’ll take time to understand who the video memoir is for and what stories you’d like to preserve. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to get us any questions or stories before the interview.
Together, we’ll schedule the interview at a time and place that feels comfortable, often right at home. From there, our team handles the details and logistics.
On filming day, we create a calm, conversational setting where your loved one can speak freely and naturally. It's natural to be nervous leading up to the interview, but usually within 10 or 15 minutes of talking the nerves calm down and it becomes simply two people having a conversation.
Our team guides the discussion gently, capturing not just words but tone, expression, and emotion. If you've requested that we collect and digitize any family media, we will do that immediately following the interview.
After filming and collecting, our editors carefully shape the footage into a cinematic film that reflects your family’s unique story. We combine interviews, family media, historical footage and music to create a cohesive, emotionally rich video memoir. Something you’ll want to revisit for years to come.
You will have the chance to review each cut of the film for the opportunity to leave feedback. We want the end product to be something your family and our team can be proud of.
When your film is complete, you’ll receive a private digital link to share with family and friends, along with physical copies of the video stored safely in a custom legacy box.
